Connect – An opportunity for you to connect with God and

with other young, single adults each Wednesday at

Brentwood Hills. From 5:45-6:30p.m. on Wednesday

evenings in June-August 2008 a mixer meal will be

served in the terrace view room #502. The cost for the meal

including dessert will be $5.00 per person. During the mixer

meal you and one of your friends will be seated with a

different group of people each week so you can get to know

some other singles from the Nashville area. After the meal

we will sing and have a Bible study from 6:30-7:30p.m.

Our theme of study is "RELATIONSHIPS". The Bible

study group will be led by David Tiner, a Christian

counselor. Here are some subjects to be discussed

(Additional subjects suggested by participants):

1. Connecting with God: Developing & maintaining a

foundational covenant relationship

2. Dealing with problems in relationships-roommates,

friends, co-workers & couples

3. Determining if you can or should continue to

pursue a current relationship

4. Respectful and constructive ways to resolve issues,

problems and conflict

5. Problems in relationships that should NOT be ignored

and how to seek professional help-persistent anger,

physical/verbal/sexual abuse, addictions

6. Dealing with scars from past relationships - inability to trust,

fear of rejection, etc.

7. Developing relationship skills that can help in existing

and/or future relationships

8. Learning to effectively communicate with the opposite sex

9. Understanding and respecting his needs/her needs
